Terms of use

In short: the site is free to read. Rankings, prices and guides are our editorial work, done carefully and dated, but they are not a guarantee and not a substitute for your own judgement or your dive training. Bookings are governed by the separate booking terms. You may quote and reuse our data with credit.

1. Who you are dealing with

Go Dive Trips is operated by Simon Hansen, Thailand (see the legal notice). By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.

2. What the site is

• Editorial, not advertising. Rankings are produced by a published scoring model (how it works) from public data and our own visits. Operators cannot pay for a position, and we say so wherever a commercial relationship exists (how we earn money).
• Dated, not live. Every ranking and price shows the date it was last checked. Operators change prices, staff and boats; verify anything that matters with the operator before you rely on it.
• Information, not advice. Nothing here is medical, legal or safety advice. Guides that touch physiology quote DAN, PADI or SSI materials; your instructor, your dive computer and your own certification limits come first.

3. Diving carries risk

Scuba diving and freediving can cause serious injury or death. Choosing an operator from our list does not transfer any responsibility for your safety to us. The operator's briefing, standards and staff, and your own training, health and decisions, govern every dive. We are not present on any dive and cannot supervise, and we make no promise about an operator's safety record beyond what the ranking data shows.

4. Bookings

When you book through our desk, the booking terms apply in addition to these terms. In short: we are the booking agent, the operator is your contractual partner for the diving, and the operator's cancellation terms apply.

5. Accuracy and corrections

We check facts before publishing and we fix mistakes fast. If you are an operator and something about you is wrong, or a diver with evidence that contradicts a score, email hello@topdiveshops.com. Corrections are noted on the page with the date. We do not remove an operator from a ranking because they ask; we correct the data.

6. Using our content and data

• Text, ranking scores, photos we took and the site design are protected by copyright. See copyright and attribution for what is ours, what is licensed, and what you may reuse.
• Our ranking tables and price index are published as open data under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. You may copy, analyse and republish them with a link to the source page.
• You may not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it, republish whole guides, or present our rankings as your own or as an operator's endorsement. Operators may use their badge and score as described on the "for dive shops" page.
• Third-party trademarks (PADI, SSI, RAID, Google, Instagram, TikTok and operator names) belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.

7. Links and embeds

We link to operators, agencies, Google Maps, Instagram and TikTok. We do not control those sites, and their terms and privacy policies apply once you are there. Embedded third-party content loads only after you allow it in the cookie banner.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on the site's content, from a dive operator's acts or omissions, from unavailability of the site, or from third-party sites. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or your statutory consumer rights where you live.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Thailand. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection rules, those rules still protect you and you may bring a claim in your home courts.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top is the version that applies. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
